The Mechanical 8 day Movements of Pontifa

Pontifa manufactures regulary various mechanical movements for clocks and alarm clocks
All those movements have a power-reserve of 8 days. They divide in 2 groups :

- The group of key-winding movements,
- The group of winding-stem movements.

The key-winding movements

In this group, there are 2 different calibres :
The 7320 calibre and his derived movements, and the 7400 calibre. The first one measures diameter 50 mm., and is alarm (7320). One derivative is with date (7326), Another one is with moon-phases (7327). The more simple is without alarm, but 8 day (7330)
The second calibre is 7400 8 day constructed on a line, without sophistication.

The winding-stem movements

In this group there is one calibre with its derivatives.
The calibre 2873 Is a round movement of diameter 50 mm. with one winding and setting stem. The derivatives are with sweep second (cal. 2873.1), without second (cal. 2873.2), and with a small second opposite to the stem (cal. 2873.3).
